If we judged ourselves, we would not be judged. 1 Corinthians 11:31

Judgment is a natural faculty not possessed by anyone with a clear conscience. Even children can judge and analyze the psychology of their parents. Being judgmental prompts you to view yourself with a spirit of progress. For all those who take the time to pass judgment on themselves, their lives are progressing day by day.

The Bible teaches us to judge ourselves so that we are not condemned by the world. Those who are led by the Spirit are true legislators themselves since the Spirit of God convinces us and leads us into all truth. “When the Comforter comes, the Spirit of truth, he will lead you into all truth … ..” John 16:13

Thus, it is revealed inevitably that we let ourselves be probed by the Holy Spirit of God. King David in Psalm 139: 23-24 asks God to enter into him so that he will be pleasing to him.

When do you practice good self-judgment?

1) When we confess sin (1 John 1: 9)

2) When we forsake sin (Isaiah 55: 7)

3) When one practices renunciation of oneself and the old nature, to let Christ rule (Colossians 3:35)

4) When you want to lose your life and find the life of Christ (Galatians 2:20)

5) When one has to make more aware of Christ than of oneself. (Matthew 28:20)

6) When we let ourselves be more dependent on Christ than on selfishness (Acts 9: 6)

7) When you realize that you are not superior to other humans. (Philippians 2: 3-4)

Exercising good self-judgment brings us closer to the life of Christ daily and helps us reflect on the reality of the ministry of reconciliation.
